Just spotted two abilities that didn't quite make their way into Halo 4. The Halo Council on YouTube came across two armor abilities in the coding and unfortunately they won't be making their way into the game down the road either. We've got the teleport ability which of course allows you to teleport a distance in front of you. It's pretty simple and judging by the video it looks like something really annoying but useful for assassinating. This ability is currently glitchy and you may die when using it.
Then there's the hacker ability which is interesting and definitely useable for comedic purposes. The hacker ability as shown allows you to deactivate an enemy's hardlight shield and their jetpack.
Kotaku received the following statement from a Microsoft spokesperson on the matter,
There are many legacy items in any large code base - some that made it quite far in production before being cut for reasons of balance, scope or simple fun; others which were simply prototype ideas that didn't make it far at all. 343 Industries has no plans to add further armor abilities from that code base in any future "Halo 4" downloadable content.
What are your thoughts on the two? Would you like them, hate them, are glad they're not in, wish they were? I saw one person say that there should be custom playlist for it and other prototype abilities. Could be cool to screw around with.
